Join oboists Naomi Bensdorf Frisch, Crystal Hall, and Kate Eakin as they perform two of Beethoven’s great chamber works at Heaven Gallery on Sunday, July 11th, at 5 pm.
The program will include the Beethoven’s Trio for Two Oboes and English Horn, Op. 87, as well as his Variations on La ci Darem la Mano. In between will be solo oboe works by Telemann and Hummel, plus some humorous material for English horn by Christopher Berg.
Naomi Bensdorf Frisch is principal oboist of the Illinois Philharmonic and Chicago Chamber Orchestra. Crystal Hall performs with Chicago-based Fifth House Ensemble, as well as the Rockford Symphony. Kate Eakin is the English hornist of the Peoria and Quad City Symphonies, and teaches at the Sherwood Conservatory at Colombia College Chicago. Mary Lou Wade of Colombia College narrates.
